Process Paper
For our history day project we chose the rights and responsibilities of the Greek gods Zeus and Athena. We chose this topic because we both have an interest in Greek mythology, and we have been studying it for over four years. Our topic is very important because the mythology influenced the Greeks’ and Romans’ laws, actions, and rights.
We started out looking for primary and secondary sources on the computer. We each have a part; my part (Ethan) is finding information on Zeus and my partner in equal's responsibility (Gavin) is to get information Athena. The primary sources that helped us the most were the Theology, Works and Days, and the Iliad and the Odyssey.
We chose to do a website because we both have a common interest in technology. We used www.weebly.com/weebly/userHome.php to create our website. To put the website together we used sources and pictures from the computer. We also used word to type our process paper and bibliography.
Our topic “The Rights and Responsibilities of Zeus and Athena” fits in with the National History Day theme because they were a major influence to the Greeks and the Romans. Zeus being the king of the gods, was a major influence because he was huge role model and was looked up to for guidance. Athena also had a major influence on the Greeks because of being very wise and for being the patron of Athens.
